Sweepy releases the EP Shortcuts

Danish artist Sweepy releases his new EP Shortcuts on February 6, an energetic, genre-blending project that continues his exploration of tempo, house-inspired beats, and pop-driven melodies. The EP marks a clear step forward in Sweepy’s artistic development, placing intensity, momentum, and rhythmic focus at the center.

Since Sweepy began releasing music in 2019, his sound has evolved from a more laid-back approach into a universe defined by higher tempos and increased energy. Shortcuts brings this evolution together in a cohesive expression, where hypnotic beats, melodic hooks, and contrasting elements create a dynamic and modern soundscape.

The EP includes the singles Undo and First To Know, both of which have introduced and expanded Sweepy’s new musical direction. While Undo set the tone with its tempo-driven, house-oriented energy, First To Know continues with a more pop-leaning, high-energy, and hypnotic sound.

Shortcuts is not a self-biographical project in the traditional sense. Instead, Sweepy lets the music speak for itself, creating sound through intuition and desire rather than concrete narratives. The result is an EP that invites the listener into a universe where atmosphere and movement matter more than explanation.

The music is released in collaboration with Flatlist. Listen here.

Sweepys is wearing the OPEL in Clear / Clear Blue Light.
